currently using Joomla as the CMS for our beginner clan site for the game AfterWorld (in alpha testing). Current production on our clan site is at a stand still. The code of Joomla isn't for the faint of heart. When I start delving into the code of Diferior, I can actually understand it lol. Joomla is still to limited or at least is limiting to me because the code is to hard to decipher.

So I will be working on some template ideas, modules, and I think more languages now that I have gotten used to working with Diferior for a couple hours.

here is the test site http://www.awaftershock.com/mycms/

:) yeah if your not at 1280 x 1024 it will look stupid :)

that will be changed when I do a sort of gaming template for it :)

cheers everyone

atslash

p.s. check back though cuz as Diferior is in production, so will be my little clan site :)

p.p.s. „Diferior needs to allow user submitted image galleries“ and „video galleries with support for all the major and some minor hosts, youtube, google, and some up and coming ones that are just great! :)“

End of day:

I started making a new template:

Kinda strange how the folders are split up, with „templates“ and „tpl_resources“ but I'll deal with it :) and have for the beginning part of this template

I'm not the greatest at design but here is my end-of-day work

its no where near complete, I'm just posting EOD's so everyone can track and comment on my horrible work :)

It should look ok on lower resolutions (1024 x 768) I'm still looking more towards (1280 x 1024) just because all of my clan members play AfterWorld and surf the web at 1280 x 1024.

we'll see....

started the layout of the Login and Register pages.

http://www.awaftershock.com/mycms/user/register.html

i think that i need to change the menu on the left to match the same type of gradient used for these 2 pages

I pretty much gave up on making it look good at 1024 x 768 res. maybe ill have some one convert the template after I am done lol

EOD

worked some more on the register / login / contact pages. Reworked the left menu to match the web 2.0 ish look.

fixed the horizontal menu, wasnt working earlier cuz of positioning problems.

Created a small footprint fixed footer

tomorrow im gonna work on the blog layout and make it a little more web 2.0 ish

Well, color scheme is okay.

Form top and bottom are wayyy too big. There's also unneeded space below. Inputs should be pushed down a bit and colorized. The left menu is not very visible. Blog post list is messy, it's hard to distinguish blog posts from one another.

But keep on working and it should turn out really well ;)
